all the fingers and turn the back of the left hand toward the chest. Pull the fingers apart with moderate pressure while exhaling
and release the pressure slightly on the inhalation. Perform
7 times, hold, and then repeat to other side with the back of the right hand toward chest. |

PRANA SHARIRA
MUDRAS Kanishtha Sharira Mudra Lower Body Mudra | Place the hands on the waist just below the ribs with the thumbs at the back of the body and the fingers pointing
forward. The palms form a flat table parallel to the earth with the fingers together and pressing into the body. The elbows
move slightly forward and the shoulders back and down. |
Madhyama Sharira Mudra Middle Body Mudra | Press
the thumbs into the center of the armpits. The palms and forearms form a flat table parallel to the earth. The elbows move
slightly forward while the shoulders move back and down. The fingers move together on the exhalation and away from each other
on the inhalation as the chest expands. |
Jyeshtha Sharira Mudra Upper Body Mudra | Raise the arms overhead, bend the elbows, and place the palms onto the shoulder blades. Keep the shoulders relaxed
down as the elbows reach up. The arms remain parallel to each other. Engage uddiyana bandha to keep the spine from arching backwards. |

| Anjali
Mudra Invocation | Place the hands together in front of the heart. Leave a
small, empty space between the palms. Sense the contact between each of the fingers and also the contact at the base of the
palms. The forearms move gently toward parallel to the earth. |
| Kapota
Mudra Dove | Beginning in Anjali Mudra, with the hands in front of the heart, make the space
between the hands larger with the fingertips and base of the palms still touching. The hands form the shape of the pinnacle
of a temple or steeple of a church. |
| Shankha
Mudra Conch Shell | Place the first four fingers of your right hand around
the left thumb. Now, extend your right thumb to touch the index and middle fingers of your left hand. Wrap the fingers of
the left hand around the right fist to form a shell. |
| Kali
Mudra Goddess of Transformation | Interlace all the fingers and the thumbs in front of the
chest. Extend the index fingers and press the pads gently against each other pointing upward. |
| Matangi Mudra Goddess of Inner Power | Interlace all the fingers
and the thumbs in front of the chest. Extend the middle fingers and press the pads gently against each other pointing upward. |
| Ganesha Mudra II Highest Protection | Interlace all the fingers
in front of the chest. Extend the middle fingers and wrap the index fingers around behind them. Place the thumbs together
at the base of the middle fingers. |
| Vajrapradama
Mudra Unshakable Confidence | Interlace the fingers in front of the chest with the palms
facing toward the heart and the thumbs facing upward. Open the hands away from each other, creating a gentle stretch to the
fingers. Rest the hands on the current of energy that surrounds the heart, 5 to 12 inches from the body. |
| Padma Mudra Lotus Flower | Beginning in Anjali Mudra, keep the tips of the little
fingers and thumbs together, as well as the base of the palms. Separate the ring, middle, and index fingers wide apart to
form the shape of a lotus opening its petals. Sense the light and energy rising upward from within the lotus. |
| Garuda Mudra King of Birds | Cross the arms in front
of the chest with the left arm in front of the right arm and the palms facing the heart. Hook the right thumb in front of
the left thumb to form the shape of wings. The fingers may be opened or held gently together. |
MUDRAS FOR RECEIVING AND OFFERING Avahana Mudra Opening and Receiving | Place the edges of the little fingers together with the palms facing up in front of the solar plexus. Press the thumb
gently into the base of the ring finger. The fire element, representing Spirit, reaches down to connect with matter. Other
fingers remain together and extended. (note: follow written instructions for placement of the thumbs) |
Pushpaputa Mudra Offering of Flowers | Cup the hands and bring the sides of the little fingertips and ring fingertips together. Form the hands into a loose
bowl, as if lovingly holding and offering a gift of flowers. |
Samputa Mudra Hidden Treasure | Cup the hands, placing the left hand underneath and the right
hand on top. Create a hollow, protected space within the hands. Sense the energy contained there. |
MUDRAS FOR ACTIVE MEDITATION Jñana Mudra Wisdom | Join the thumb to the index finger and extend the other three fingers. Sense the circuit of energy within the circle
formed by the thumb and index finger. Allow the palm of hand to be a pool or repository of this energy. |

right hand into the left hand. Allow the shoulders to relax downward and allow the weight of your entire being to rest down
into the earth.

of Wholeness | Rest the cupped
left hand onto your lap. Rest the cupped right fingers onto the left fingers. Join the tips of the thumbs to form an oval.
Sense the circuit of energy between the thumbs which expands throughout the circumference of the oval. |
Dhyana Mudra Meditation | Rest the cupped left hand onto your lap. Rest the cupped
right fingers onto the left fingers. Join the tips of the thumbs to form an oval and raise the index fingers to meet the thumbs
